Celluloid Celebrations keep Cinephiles exCited

Film enthusiasts have much reason to rejoice as of late. A host of festivals have graced theaters across Wysteria these last several months. First, the incredibly well attended Prabha Film Festival gave us the hilariously popular Praise the Chord and Pass the Groupies out of New Kandor, Not to be outdone, Amerius is currently hosting a film festival in Duho, where attendees are voting on films in the categories of Fantasy, Historical, Science Fiction and Action. The Romance/Drama category was captured by Paluian entry The Dreamers at the outset of the festival by how well it, er, stood alone on its artistic merits.
A new event, however, promises to outshine them all by becoming the premier film event in Wysteria. Held by the newly formed Wysterian Academy for Film Laud and Exultation, a.k.a. the WAFFLES, is currently taking nominations for Wysterian-produced films. Screenings of nominated films are expected to be shown across Wysteria over coming weeks until the Academy has completed voting.
"We so pleased to be able to provide a forum where both large budget studio productions and small indies can be," said a secretive-looking member of the Academy, who declined to give his name.
