Pangaelican Prime Minister Visits Nephia
In a move described by her country's state department as "a good will gesture", Prime Minister Brighid NicDaibhoreann has been visiting the Republic of Nephia for the past two days.
Although little of a groundbreaking nature is expected to come from the tour, the visit is a milestone for Nephia, a country which had been regarded by most Wysterian nations - at least until Nephia's recent civil war - as something of a pariah state. The visit also marks what observers have described as a "deepening friendship between NicDaiboreann and Nephian President Dayton Hargrove.
"The two leaders have been in regular communication for quite some time," said Kamadhati Nephia observer Suchitra Jugalbhandi. "Apparently, they've laid the groundwork for closer relations already. This visit appears to cement the relationship they've been building between the two nations."
The two leaders are expected to discuss trade agreements and other diplomatic matters, but the visit is being presented almost entirely as a friendly visit by one leader to another.
On her first day, the Pangaelican prime minister was taken on a tour of downtown Ether, and spent some time being guided through the grounds of Ether's famous temple, the site of much of the unrest that plagued Nephia during the civil war.
NicDaibhoreann is also expected to tour the ceasefire line.
