WU Forces Advance Towards Omni

GIDGIDDONI, MRN (WRI) - As Grendels Expeditionary Forces completed their withdrawal from the Moroniac Republic of Nephi, Wysterian Union Forces along with their Iyari and Liberal Technology allies are continuing their advance toward the Moroniac capital.

There are fears, however, of ZaKommian booby traps in Omni, and of a resurging ZaKommian resistance in the south near the border with ZaKommia's colony, Sacred Skull. Wysterian Union forces have been ordered to hold before moving into Omni.

Nonetheless, the mood among residents of the MRN is buoyant and excited as they watch WU forces move into the country.

"This is a great day," said Gidgiddoni resident Alene Desrosiers. "We've waited for this day since the end of the civil war."

That's how the majority of people seem to feel, but there is concern among some MRN Nephians about the changes that await them.

"I am worried about the secularization we've seen in the RON," said Bill Barber, a teacher in Simonton, a tiny village near the ceasefire line. "Things may have been restrictive under [President Horatio] Concord, but our religion was still held in its central role, where it belongs."
